Five Nights at Freddy's was one of the first concepts I ever drafted and wrote.
Back in 2020 it was very different, and started my collaboration with Rarithlynx on making Concept Videos for YouTube to which I remade it and expanded it. It's very surreal to see the chapter become a real thing and very thankful people have supported my concept work since!

If it wasn't obvious already, I'm a huge fan of FNaF; it's what originally got me started playing Dead by Daylight in the first place. I've been a huge supporter of the collaboration happening for years now, and I felt obligated to eventually make concepts based around the idea. At the time, I wasn't super confident in myself to make full character concepts, so I made these ones, because I felt like cosmetic concepts were the way to go.
For character choice specifically, Vanny and Glitchtrap are some of my favorite characters Steel Wool has made with their time working on FNaF. I always liked the idea of Legion getting a skin based on Vanny (partly because of the Silent Hill cosmetics). So I felt like it was an obvious place to start, and I decided to do Glichtrap as well because him and Vanny felt like a package deal to me (plus, I like his design a lot).
The choice to use the (at the time) current in-game store was purely made for stylization; I thought that having outfit icons and actually “editing” the characters into the shop would make the concepts more interesting. I actually edited Legion out of the image entirely, but you can’t really see it since the characters block all my shoddy work. I was actually a legion main at the time, so HUNK being excluded from the shop in the image was purely an accident because I had already purchased him (I took the base screenshot myself).
